The Complicated Case Of Cecil Wells

Cecil Wells a wealthy businessman married to the picture-perfect bombshell blond would be murdered in his bed and his wife would be severely beaten in an attempted home burglary that went wrong. At least that is what the papers reported on the morning of October 17th, 1953 when officers arrived at the scene. Just a few days into the investigation police went from looking for two unknown men to taking a deeper look at Diane, Cecil’s wife, and her rumored affair with a jazz drummer from the local country club.

Something I didn’t note in the episode was how the news papers went from calling her Diana to Diane, but her friends called her Diane so that the name I stuck with. When researching the case for more information it’s best to look under both Diana and Diane Wells.
